How Clutter Increases Stress & Anxiety

Chances are, you don’t consider yourself a messy person—and you’re not. Shows about hoarders give you hives. But, if you’re like us, with a busy life and not quite enough time, your closet doesn’t look the way you want it to. Disorganization can lead to a ripple effect of irritation, and frankly, who needs that?

The 4 problem areas

1. One of the greatest difficulties you’ll face when organizing your closet is having too much stuff and too little space. So, do you throw stuff out? Sometimes that’s the answer, but often you can get around it by buying space saving gadgets. (insert link here)

2. This is a tough one. Shoes. Let’s face it, we’re females. We love our shoes and have lots of them. Where should you put all of them? Whatever you do, don’t put them on the floor. They end up miss-matched and in a messy ball in the corner.

3. Purses. Some of us have more than others, but all of us have at least 50. Just kidding. Again, DO NOT put them on the floor, unless you want them in a mound along with your shoe pile.

Even when you get everything perfectly clean, if you don’t do it in the right way, your closet will just get messy again.
